BAU is a university design center affiliated to the University of Vic – Central University in Catalonia (UVic-UCC), founded in 1989 and located in the Poblenou district of Barcelona. It teaches undergraduate degrees in Design, Masters, and Postgraduates, the Diploma in graphic design “BAU Noche”, Summer University courses and workshops.

The Master in Web Design is coordinated by Runroom, a Digital Business Consultancy specialized in Customer Experience and Google Premier Partner. This degree was born in order to respond to the growing demand for design professionals in the online environment and prepare them to join highly qualified teams and to participate in extremely fascinating projects.

Main responsibilities

  • Define a 12-hour week module (3 hours/ 4 days) for the students of the Web Design’s Master in order to understand how to apply design thinking into UX design/User experience

– Day 1: Design Thinking intro + Create a challenge
– Day 2: Empathy: Field research + Synthesis
– Day 3: Ideation + Prototyping
– Day 4: Storytelling the solution + Live Chat with a Front-end developer

  • Facilitates the week module with hands-on activities, including the immersion to a real scenario (shopping center) and user research
  • Assistance in the development of mock-ups using paper wireframes and marvel software to build quick prototypes
  • Guidance on how to perform a User Test (“fake” user testing between groups)
  • Create the storytelling of the digital service, using littlebits as a tool to build the scenarios
